Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I operate as a self-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. A Superbill can be provided upon request for clients seeking potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their insurance plan.
What ages do you work with?
I work with individuals ages 16 and older. At this time, I do not provide therapy services for children or families with young children.
Do you offer couples therapy if we’re not married?
Yes. I offer relational therapy for any two people in session, regardless of marital status or relationship structure. This may include romantic partners, spouses, co-parents, or other significant relational pairings.
Is the fee different if we’re not a couple?
No. Any session involving two participants is billed at the couples/relational therapy rate, regardless of whether the individuals are married, dating, separated, or otherwise partnered.
What’s the difference between couples therapy and family therapy?
Couples or relational therapy involves two people in session.
Family or group therapy involves three or more participants and focuses on broader relational or group dynamics.
Do you offer family therapy with children?
No. Family or group therapy is limited to adult participants. I do not offer therapy services for families with young children at this time.
What issues do you specialize in?
My work focuses on relational and emotional patterns, including:
Relationship conflict, emotional disconnection, and trust repair
Attachment wounds and intimacy concerns
Life transitions, stress, and identity shifts
Family-of-origin dynamics and boundary work
Discernment and relationship transitions
How long are sessions?
Individual and couples/relational therapy sessions are 60 minutes.
Family or group therapy sessions (three or more participants) are 90 minutes.
Groups of three or more people typically require additional time to allow for meaningful participation, processing, and therapeutic work beyond what can be effectively accomplished in a standard 60-minute session.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. Therapy is offered via secure telehealth, allowing clients to attend sessions from the comfort of their own space.
How do I know if you’re a good fit?
Finding the right therapist matters. I encourage prospective clients to schedule a consultation to ask questions, share what they’re hoping to work on, and determine whether my approach feels like a good match.
What if I’m unsure which service to choose?
If you’re unsure whether individual, relational, or group therapy is the best fit, we can discuss this during a consultation and determine the most appropriate option together.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
Fee structure and availability can be discussed during an initial consultation.
